Began her ballet training at age 6 at Escuela Pro Arte Musical in Havana, Cuba. Once here in the United States, she continued to train with Sonia Diaz, Martha del Pino, and Eduardo Recalt at Ballet Concerto in Miami. Mrs. Prieto Elden would eventually graduate from Ballet Concerto School and dance soloist and principal roles with the Company in Miami, throughout the southeast United States, and Latin America in such locales as Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Mrs. Prieto has been honored to receive keys to the cities of Miami Beach and Hialeah as well as to Miami-Dade County in honor of the Company’s work throughout the years. U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Leithenen also presented Mrs. Prieto Elden with a flag flown in the State Capitol in honor of the Company

Born in Havana, Cuba she began her ballet training at La Escuela Nacional de Arte. After graduating, she joined Ballet Nacional de Cuba where she was eventually named a principal dancer. At the 1984 International Ballet Festival in Brazil she was awarded a silver medal for her pas de deux and the Marcia Haydee award for best female dancer. She first danced with Ballet Etudes of South Florida in 1994 and since then has danced the most recognized principal roles in classical ballet as well as premiered a variety of original works choreographed specifically for her.
Company & Jr. Company Director
Began his training in Havana, Cuba under Alberto Alonso, Laura Alonso, Jorge Riveron, Jose Medina, Miguel Gomez and others at Ballet Nacional de Cuba. He performed with various groups throughout the island including Teatro Karl Marx, Teatro Lirico de la Habana, and Teatro Musical de la Habana. In 1980, he left Cuba and joined Ballet Etudes Company as a dancer soon after his arrival in Miami. He has distinguished himself as a performer in numerous ballets, esteemed member of Ballet Etudes School’s Faculty, Director of its Junior Ensemble Program, and Choreographer for both the Company and the School.
